After the successful 2024 Annual Congress, MKB-Nederland wanted to keep the momentum going: from a single event to a platform that makes entrepreneurship in the Netherlands visible, tangible and experiential. The assignment? Develop an event concept that truly involves entrepreneurs right in their own region. An event that connects, inspires, and tells the story of entrepreneurship in a unique way, with the goal of achieving high engagement and strong turnout from entrepreneurs across the country.

Creative conceptÂ
Together with MKB-Nederland, we developed the very first edition of Dit Is Ondernemen, the MKB Entrepreneurs Festival that literally goes into the region. No central venue, but ten makers' routes throughout the Zwolle region, where entrepreneurs visited fellow entrepreneurs. In small groups, personal and up close. Each with their own stories, challenges, and insights. The festival started and ended in the theatre, where all participants came together for reflection, networking, and inspiration. Regional ambassadors contributed to visibility and engagement, ensuring a strong local foundation.

Impressive Impact
With 600 participating entrepreneurs, enthusiastic responses and a wave of positive energy, the first edition of Dit Is Ondernemen proved to be a powerful form of regional connection. By putting the entrepreneur at the centre, on their territory, with their story, the event became deeply rooted in practice. The impact didn’t go unnoticed: multiple regions immediately signed up for a next edition. In 2026, the festival moves to Arnhem!
